Step into Excitement in 1st Grade!

At Central Elementary School, our 1st grade program is designed to build upon your child’s kindergarten foundations while expanding their skills and knowledge. Our dedicated teachers work closely with each student to ensure they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

The 1st grade curriculum features engaging lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Students participate in small reading groups to improve comprehension and fluency. Hands-on STEM projects spark curiosity and critical thinking. Interactive learning games reinforce new concepts in creative ways.  

We recognize the importance of play-based learning still at this age, so students also enjoy drama, music, and art activities that stimulate their imaginations. Special events like Field Day and the 100th Day of School make learning fun too!
